Concepcion founded Concepcion’s Carpet Cleaning business in 2007, relying on skills she acquired through years of professional carpet cleaning. Launching this business allowed her to fulfill her dream of being small business owners. She started by purchasing a basic machine and cleaning the carpets of friends and family. Through this program she was able to save $1,670 in six months and receive $5,000 in matching funds, giving her a total of $6,670 to purchase new equipment and products for her business.
