Ways to Get Involved
Adelante Empresas is a community organization that relies on your direct support to further our mission and to provide our high quality business development services. There are several ways for you to be involved with our programs. Feel free to download our Volunteer Opportunities information sheet or take a look below at how you can support local entrepreneurs and your community.
- Hire Adelante Empresas businesses - Adelante Empresas businesses provide a variety of high quality products and services. If you need your house cleaned, car detailed, plants for your yard or garden, or any of a variety of other products and services, call Adelante Empresas at 503-615-0270 and we will refer you to a participating Empresa (small business). This is a great way to support our program, and the local economy, while completing your everyday needs. For more information about our businesses, click one of the links to the left of this page.
- Volunteer/Intern - Adelante Empresas has a number of different opportunities for students and local community members to share their skills with budding entrepreneurs and to help expand our program.
- Teach one of our small business classes or hold a seminar on small business development topics.
- Be a language partner and work with small business owners on their English skills through small group or one-on-one tutoring.- Use your design or marketing skills to improve the ways in which we reach out to the community and help us spread the word about our business cooperative.- Be a Professional Mentor - Use your business skills and experiences to mentor small business owners. Adelante Mujeres has partnered with MicroMentor, a project of MercyCorps to provide mentors to our entrepreneurs as well as provide a valuable volunteer opportunity for business professionals to share skills and experiences with their community. - Be a professional Partner - Provide professional services to participating businesses. Adelante Empresas provides small business owners with a list of volunteers as well as professional consultants to assist with taxes, accounting, legal issues and more.
